Do I need SE wire or can I use conduit?

I am in the process of adding a 20KW genset with 200amp ATS to my home. Right now I have my main panel connected directly to the meter with SE wire, but it needs to be replaced. If I am going to be adding the ATS in between the meter and the panel, can I run conduit from the meter to feed the ATS and use individual 2/0 wire?
