Dock lights

Does anyone have any suggestions of a brand of fixture that would hold up on a dock in salt air? The current low voltage lights are ending their life and I’m looking for something that would hold up in this kind of environment. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Many options to choose from. Is this a commercial or residential application? Are you pathway lighting or general illumination for the area? Are you looking for stand alone fixtures or are you mounting them on an existing post/structure? Going back with LV?
 
The existing lights are on top of the posts going down to the dock used for general lighting. They have lasted awhile but have taken a beating. It’s a residential upscale area

Whatever you decide, it's going to take a beating. I think low voltage LED is the least expensive to wire and voltage drop is low. I'm not going to be much help. If you go with a plastic housing, make sure it holds up to UV.

People are putting in underwater lights around here. I think they are big down in Florida too.

If the customer is willing, I'd let them go see a local lighting rep and let them decide how much to spend. :)

Those are very nice I’ve used them many times. They wouldn’t work in this application. They need to go on top of the post. So I need something that has some kinda post to it.

LumenPulse makes exceptionally durable fixtures. I have them installed on the top deck of a cruise ship, outdoors in a themed venue. They're holding up very well. Make sure to order the corrosion proofing option when you choose the fixtures. It's a $250 adder to the order, regardless of the size of the order. It's an epoxy undercoat, and apparently quite involved to get the spray equipment set up.

I cant speak to the salt issue personally but I work on a lot of custom lake homes and the biggest issues we have are the vibration damage taken by the constant movement of the dock poles over a 1-2 year time period (depending on the weather that year). Lithonia/Acuity has an outdoor sconce style LED wall pack that I use to replace all the broken hopes and dreams my company installed under a previous EC. Only have one coastal contractor buddy in Charleston SC but he swears by them for the ICWW docks around that area. They come with an internal PC that can be disabled by rotating the cover. Obviously not LV but it’s what I have to offer. See what u think.
