Does Florida no longer require EC's to have journeymen ?

EC's are not required to have any employees. There are many one-man-bands here.

No electricians (journey or apprentice) are required to be licensed. Only the EC requires a license. S/he is responsible for all work performed under the license. In fact, there are no requirements to be called an electrician. I have literally seen a contractor hire non-electricians to install devices in a hospital after a few minutes training.

If you are looking for work, just call up a contractor. They can hire you immediately. If you are asking because you want to be a FL EC, note that getting the license requires 12,000 hours of verifiable experience and passing a business test and an electrical knowledge test.
