Hello Members! My name is Donnie Johnson. My wife and I made a video a few years ago called "Donnie's Accident". I have had numerous requests on You Tube and other sites for copies of my video from safety directors. They use it for their safety programs. So I made a website! I use the video during my 'work safety' presentations when I speak at events, businesses and organizations. You can watch or download the video and read the full story of my 'experience' here. I’m not charging anything; this site is meant to help promote safety awareness by sharing my experience before during and after an electrical "Arc Blast" accident as well as reminding us what can happen if we don’t follow our safety procedures. Please feel free to share the link.

That is a truly sobering video.
All of us in this business should take serious note of it.
Thank you for posting it here. The harrowing pictures tell the tale in graphic detail. Just as it should.
No amount of safety training can get the point across in the way that you have.

I'm pleased that you seem to have recovered physically and the tale was told.

Wish you all the best for the festive season.

Thanks for all your kind comments! Hopefully others can learn from my mistakes. I'm not a safety expert, but i can provide an example of what could happen if you don't follow your safety procedures. I want people to think about ALL the consequences.

BE SAFE!

Let your light shine Donnie, after a very bad car accident 18 years ago, I too was badly injured but the results was I never drank again, some times we are spared so we can pass the word on that may help someone else not have to go through such horrific event.

This is the only thing that has helped me understand the "why did this happen to me" I was in a coma for 4 months and in the hospital for just over a year, so keep passing it on, and I'll try my best to also share it too.

Hard lesson to learn but fortunately you are here to talk about it. 26 years ago my dad wasn't so lucky. 35 days in the burn center before his heart finally gave out. It certainly opened my eyes as to what could happen.

I had my crew watch the video as part of our morning safety meeting today. I hope it makes them think about going home everyday, the same way they came to work. Thank you for the story and video. Glad you're still around to share your story.

Mentioned it on Facebook, added a link on my website. Thanks Donnie, and we're all glad you pulled through and serve as a reminder to stop and think before we do.
