Isn't that the beauty and essence of this forum? We deep dive into subjects to get authoritative answers to mundane questions.

Or any internet forum.

The whole thread seems to have wandered off the hole thread........:p

This will do nicely:

What brand is this? I have a 3/4 similar to that & I love it. Cuts good clean holes & seldom jams. Has finer teeth than many. No brand name on it and I can't recall where I bought it. I buy tools in a lot of places.

Aurora Lighting is where I found that.

Thank you for your help. I decided to buy steel cutting blades for my jigsaw from H.D. (came in a three pack, Bosch) I drilled a 3/8 " hole to start and the jigsaw did great ! I'd say this 36 X36 X12 inch cabinet was 3/32 " thick. The blades said 'thin metal', so I wasn't sure it would work. It cut like butter. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I'm going to remember this. Thank you.

Back in the dim dark past I had a job retrofitting air conditioning units in VW's. Part of the job entailed drilling 2" holes through metal panels for refrigerant hoses with drill and hole saw. I always had bruises on my right elbow and forearm from when the saw would bind up. Ouch.

Some of us who work for a living should be recognized to be just as brave and sexy (or maybe just as stupid...) as PBR rodeo bull riders. We pull that trigger just knowing that there's a good chance it's gonna leave a mark we feel in the morning before we're done.
