Drilling holes in Conduit Bodies

All the other threads on supporting conduit bodies beg the question, can we drill a hole in one to support it?

I think yes. I don't think conduit bodies even need to be listed so I don't see a problem there.

The raceway articles require the raceway and associated fittings to be listed. In my opinion conduit bodies are fittings.

I thought about that too, and decided they were not. So where do you stand on drilling holes? It voids the listing?

Nothing voids a listing...the listing only is for the product as it leaves the manufacturer. I have drilled and tapped holes for grounding screws, but never for mounting purposes.
The drilling of holes for any purpose, other than the drainage holes that are permitted by 314.15, would need the approval of the AHJ.

Any time a product is modified in a manner not provided for in the installation instructions, listed or not, it is subject to approval, but that it true for everything, modified or not.
