I was looking for electrical apps on my droid today and found a ton of free ones, none that apply to my job but all the stuff the EC's on here are always asking about. Wire sizing, voltage drop, bend radius, etc... There were also some electrical bid apps.

You guys may want to check them out. "Droid does"

I have a Droid and have downloaded Wire Sizing, Voltage
Drop, Conduit Fill, Box Fill calculators, free and paid, but
did not see a "bend radius" app. The Android Market returns
no app for "bend radius", and the conduit apps look like fill apps to me.

If there is a "bend radius app" on Android, what is it?

On another forum, Electrical Wiring Lite and Electrical Wiring Pro
were recommended as the best free and paid and Electrical Apps
for now, FWIW.

Thanks.

Too bad the NFPA is stuck in the last millennium otherwise they would have an NEC app.

I hear the NFPA will be releasing the 2011 NEC on 78 RPM records

Don't worry in a few years you will be able to have the NEC down loaded directly to your brain. At that time you won't need a droid you will be a droid.

As far as the last millennium goes I enjoyed it more than I am enjoying this one so far.

I like technology but it appears to me that as the machines get smarter the people get dumber ( not really a good trade off ).
