Hay fellas, a guy at church wants to add lighting to illuminate the stage. The light is currently to dim for the old people.
Currently they have support wires holding what looks like 1' EMT to the ceiling (not drop celing)
The lighting power wires are supported by and running outside the emt to power the 6 lights shown (not nec compliant)
There is a hole at the side of the drop celing where im told there may be a switched branch circuit to tap into for additional spot lighting
I was wandering on the best method for supporting and mounting a box at the dropped celing at or near the hole shown
To my understanding a box up to 100 cubic inches can be supported by the drop ceiling grid but not the romex wiring?
I believe the romex must be supported independant of the drop ceiling grid support?
Do you guys know a good wiring method or set up for a project like this?
