Dropping pipe from a 40' ceiling?

When I have run into this we have use all thread hung fom the ceiling. we then used u bolts to attach shallow strut onto the all thread at 10 ft intervals and just strut strapped the conduit to the pipe. works great. Just use an all thread connector to extend the thread.

I have seen a lot of cord drops in this case. But not 40 feet. Are cords permitted in this use?? Hey how about cordless cords!! They need no support!

After reading all of these scenarios, saw cutting the floor and installing pipe in the chase is sounding better and better.
