I am wiring a bakery and would like to know how you guys bring your electrical drops through the suspended ceiling. I am thinking about MC cable through the ceiling tile to a box surface mounted on the bottom of the grid. Any better suggestions? Will health inspector freak? Thanks

M.C. cable to octagon box mounted to hanger bar above ceiling that snaps onto t-grid, (run steel support wire from box to structure) holesaw through ceiling tile so that octagon box is flush with face of tile, install lid with K.O. hang drop cord with strain relief connector.

If at a wall, surface mount emt,wiremold. Then notch the ceiling grid. Out in the floor space, drop emt, use a power pole, or as mentioned, a cord with strain relief attached.

not much of a help to you, unless you have an inspector that uses a very broad definition of industrial, but 400.14 provides a great method of accomplishing this task.
