For the electric oven part of a dual-fuel range, how many amps are they generally rated for, and what size circuit is typically used for them? Are they plug-in or hard-wired? I've never had to install one before.

In my experience, full-sized, 40 or 50 amps. Also allows for "universal" replacement flexibility.

You could always wire for full-size, and install breaker and receptacle to suit whatever arrives.

I agree with this the price difference between the two is minimal and will save you and the customer a big head ache even if they bought a regular range u can always fuse it down
