Duplex receptacle in a class 1 div 2 area

I have a customer in the oilfield industry that wants to install a duplex receptacle in a bell box, mounted on the wall of a containment this is a class 1 div 2 area
I know I cant do that, But cant find it in the code book to back up my theory.
where in the code book can i find my answer?? thanks...

how high up on the containment wall does the class 2 area go?

The basic receptical rules are in Section 501.145.

When you plug the plug in you create a arc. This puts it into Class 1 Div 1. Look in Div 1 wiring metods for wiring methods.

No it doesn’t. It creates an ignition source but doesn’t reclassify the location.
