Eaton giving up on the non-notched bus stabs

In post #15 above I referenced the different prices of a similar BD and BR model.

Is this document saying there is now no difference between the BD and BR? If so, why keep making parallel product lines?

And their quads have been relabeled to obsolete the confusing "replacement use only" sticker:

"Finally, the BR type duplex/quad has a label on the side (i.e. non-CTL, replacement only) that is no longer
applicable to NEC codes dated 2008 through today’s current code and product standard. As a result of this and
as states have adopted recent code editions, the label is in the process of being rem
oved."

One of them sells for more money?
You'd like the solution would be to cross list them: print both numbers on each breaker and sell them under the more popular part number.

The amount of price difference seems insignificant to make any money, it's not like the QO2020 and QOT2020 which the former is like 3x the price.

They kind of already do print the numbers on some Eaton breakers like the BR120 is also an A120 IIRC.

Let's see. From Eaton's official "list" price list:

So they're asking about twice as much for the identical breaker without clip, vs. clip.
And weirdly there are certain combinations of breaker sizes only available in one or the other line.

So now that the clip is gone, will they equalize the price?

BRDC220220 $521.52 22CD FD 37659 786676 00778
BRDC220230 $521.52 22CD FD 37659 786676 00780
BRDC230230 $421.88 22CD W 37659 786676 37232

Note the codes are Factory Warehouse and Mod, following by a speed of delivery code.

VIF Verified In Field
I ordered a BQC230250 from a major chain, the picture shows a rejection clip.
What arrived had date code 250824, kAIC actually stamped into the case at 10k, and no evidence the clip idea ever existed.

Ding dong the clip witch is dead. A universal breaker for 1/3 the cost of BRDC230250.
It's going to be hard for breaker resellers to dump old BRDC stock now (listing for $80-$120 each online).

Or maybe someone smart is going to start listing BRDC230250's for $50 but actually supply BQC230250 and keep the difference.
