In post #15 above I referenced the different prices of a similar BD and BR model.

Is this document saying there is now no difference between the BD and BR? If so, why keep making parallel product lines?

And their quads have been relabeled to obsolete the confusing "replacement use only" sticker:

"Finally, the BR type duplex/quad has a label on the side (i.e. non-CTL, replacement only) that is no longer
applicable to NEC codes dated 2008 through today’s current code and product standard. As a result of this and
as states have adopted recent code editions, the label is in the process of being removed."

You'd like the solution would be to cross list them: print both numbers on each breaker and sell them under the more popular part number.

The amount of price difference seems insignificant to make any money, it's not like the QO2020 and QOT2020 which the former is like 3x the price.

They kind of already do print the numbers on some Eaton breakers like the BR120 is also an A120 IIRC.
