Edison base receptacle adapter

I had a project manager call me today on whether it’s legal to use one of these in a commercial display, the display vender is using it to power two wall warts that power other lighting in the display. I doubt it could get UL listed as part of the display since it’s added after the display was built. Trying to find something that would prohibit it on the NEC side.

Someone should have called in an electrician. This is despicable.

Methinks code would address it as it does cords which are not suitable for use in place of permanent wiring.

Yeah, that’s what we think too, but we need a code reference to tell the customer. They even have a led lamp in it.
