Effective RMS

I'm studying for my electrical license. Does anyone know where I can find the formula to calculate Effective RMS when peak voltage is known? Is it somewhere buried in Ugly's Reference?

That's actually something most of us know.

Peak is 1.414 x RMS, and RMS is 0.707 x peak.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all the responses. I'm working my way through Mike Holt's Electrical Exam Prep and just trying to identify where to find information if I get nervous on the test. So much to remember. Are these formula's in Ugly's Electrical Reference? I couldn't find it. Then again, I couldn't find the Ketchup for my hamburger last night (of course, my wife went right to it!).
