EGC question

I'm running 1" EMT in my garage and want to connect a short section of FMC (about 3') between the EMT. I plan on running 12 ga thhn wire including ground from the panel box, through both types of conduit to multiple metal boxes. Each box will be grounded with pigtail wire and screw.
Does running the ground wire through the conduit (both types) and connecting to metal boxes satisfy the EGC requirement for both types of conduit?
I'm considering running wire rated over 20A in the conduit in the future
