I have a 600Hp motor fed with a 600VAC circuit. The motor is 746 Amps. If I run 2 500KCMIL triplex Teck-90 cables on the cable tray, can I run a single 2/0 EGC? (This is because 500KCMIL triplex only comes with a #3 ground) Or must I run 6 SINGLE 500KCMIL conductors with the 2/0 EGC?

Thanks
Ken

I think you need to go with single conductors. You can't have part of the EGC in one cable, part in another cable, and part outside the two cables (i.e., in the tray). Reference 300.3(B).

The EGC is required to be in each raceway or cable. In this case, if you don't want to go to single conductors, you will have to order custom cable it get the required EGC size in each cable. (or order 4 conductor cable and use the extra 500kcmil as the EGC in each cable). Given that you are looking at TECK cable, a very robust type of cable, would single conductors even be suitable for your application?
