one of these things. pretty simple to wire up but only thing i dont understand is why they make you attach the transformer wire to the power wire in the junction box. why not just wire it up that way internally
cheaper probably.
That's the same one I use too. The reason why they have you make up that connection is so you can chain several Silent Operator relays and have one thermostat operate them all. See the wiring suppliment, which they haven't packaged with the relay in years:http://www.heatersplus.com/24a06g-1.htm

That's just crazy talk. Manufacturers never do stuff like that.

I got one the other week that was some other brand that escapes me right now. They all wire up the same. The thing was in a white plastic housing. Didn't really thrill me.That's the same one I use too, too.
does white rodgers offer a wiring diagram book like the one taco gives away?

what do you mean? Whats wrong with the diagram in the PDF you posted?
I dunno. I know you can also use that relay you posted, change around the low voltage connections on the secondary side of the transformer and use it for heating on one contact and cooling on the other contact:does white rodgers offer a wiring diagram book like the one taco gives away?

because i cant read PDF's on the jobsite. my printer isnt functioning right now either
The DP mechanical wall stats are almost the same way, as far as that goes. The one is more or less a "disconnect", and only one contact is the operational contact, calibrated for temperature.I used one of those relays to control a single 240 volt fan forced unit heater once. It's kind of interesting because the two bimetallics don't operate at the same time, so you have to wait for both of them to operate before the load turns on.
Isnt the diagram on the inside cover?
the taco book has some diferent ways of wiring up there products that isnt on the inside cover. maybe white rodgers has the same thing.
I think the two PDF's I posted are pretty much it. The sky's the limit for imagination. Hook the primary to the secondary to make a nice toaster.the taco book has some diferent ways of wiring up there products that isnt on the inside cover. maybe white rodgers has the same thing.
