Electric next to 4 inch sprinkler stand pipe.

Good morning to All,

I have 1 question that I cant find in the NEC 2005 book.

It?s a 20 story apartment building with 2 fire escapes on east and west site of the building. Now they have 4 inch wet stand pipe going from the 1st to the 20th floor how ever the hole that was drilled in the floors is 6 inch so there is 2 inch of clearance. So my question is can you run 1 inch conduit in the same hole right next to the stand pipe to provide electrical outlets on each floor for the heaters.

Proximity to the stand pipe is not an issue.

The fire stopping method they choose to use may make it so you cannot enter that opening. You will need to know how they intend to firestop the openings.
