can a electrical contractor design work and how much? i heard a electrical contractor can design up to 4000 sq ft., without engineers license.
I also heard you had to have the insurance to design work. Im only asking because I over heard a conversation and was intrigued. the guys having conversation left before i could ask questions.

Most places allow an individual with an electrical license to
design to some limit ( Voltage, Amperage, building sqft. etc )
Pennsylvania has rules that are different throughout the
commonwealth, so as said by infinity, check.

In addition to the building and electrical codes, you also have to look at the engineering practices act for your state. That act will require a PE for many types of design work.
