Camper slide out motor not working. When motor is hooked to battery directly it works. Gears turn nothing is locked up. When switch is pushed and voltage is checked getting 14V. 12V motor. When switch is hooked to motor and switch is pushed motor doesn't work and no volts. Wires have been respliced with clean connections. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

You need to do a point-by-point check for voltage or ground at accessible points along the circuit.

If relays are involved, then you have a power circuit and a control circuit, likely separately fused.

I recommend the use of a test light robe, not a meter. You can clip the wire to +12v to check grounds.

Where in VA are you? Do you have a wiring diagram?

Near Bristol. Point by point is fine up till the motor connection which is puzzling. From truck battery all the way to switch to point of motor connection is 14V. Hook 12V batter directly to motor and motor and gears all turn. Hook the switch connection to the motor and nothing not even on the volt meter. Wires have been restripped and cleaned and reconnected with fingers and wire knuts. If I hook the camper to the house getting 10V as output but still should run motor at a slower speed. Both I'm getting nothing.

i did not because when the switch is pushed is when i get the 14V. very strange. I will double check the connections but I know I recut and respliced the connections. Again when battery is hooked directly to motor it works and gears turn but when 14V or 10V verified power is connected with twisting wire together and wire nuts.... nothing. I'm missing something stupid im sure.

I suggest measuring the voltage from the battery negative terminal to the motor ground (or negative terminal) when the switch is pushed. Perhaps you're getting to much voltage drop on the ground/negative path to the motor.
