This is in a Condo just behind my house. A very close friend of mine lived in this Condo. The Unit is only about 10yeas old. There was supposed to be a receptacle behind the Stove as this unit was being built. The receptacle was left out and when my friend moved in and went to plug in their gas range they noticed that the outlet was left out. My friend called the EC/Company that wired the unit. This should have been installed from the get go so the EC/Company had to eat the install. Worker came out to install the forgotten receptacle.
Since this was on the EC/Company's "dime" when the wall was already damaged they did not want to pay to have a drywaller(?) and painter come in to fix the mistake so the pictured install was made.
There was enough slack on the wire for me to raise the receptacle above the water line. I put in a LV frame in the original cut out and installed a blank plate.
