With this strict reading in applying the definition of patient sleeping beds there is no requirement for receptacles what so ever in emergency rooms of hospitals ,

there is no requirement if you place a rec in a hospital emergency room to be hospital grade.

There is no requirement in hospital emergency rooms for the critical branch at the patient bed.

your not allowed to put bed side rec on the life safety branch

so that leaves you with no requirement for rec bedside of patients to be supplied from any emergency source

Beds in ER rooms are treatment / exam beds they are not intended to be sleeping beds ER rooms are in an out patient facilities

Tell that to your building official and he will look confused and say what are you talking about

And that is all the confusion i can add to the subject so ill let it rest, i'm not sure what all happened in 2011, 2014, or 2017

I know there are changes hope they help clear things up

I might be open to the argument that a sleeping bed of a patient who requires constant suction is in fact a treatment bed, not one used "only" for sleeping.
Kind of my thoughts, possible this patient should have been in another facility that offers more advanced care or at least in a room equipped for the care that patient needed if they have such rooms.
