If I have a 1600 amps main disconnect and 8 meters and disconnect beyond do I need to run a grounding conductor from the 1600 amps main to the meter sockets and disconnects switches, even though the neutral is bonding in the main cabinet.

250.142 would allow the neutral (grounded conductor) to be used to supply meter sockets adjacent to the service disconnect but there is no such provision for disconnects on the load side of the service.
