What's the alternative - Iraq - Iran - Berut - Russia ? You may not like what our govt. is doing here but if you were in one of these other countries you wouldn't have much of a choice at all. Be careful what you wish for.

Not for nothing, but why is it when people criticize the US government, someone always offers the WORST possible countries as an "alternative," as if Austrailia, New Zeland, Greenland, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway didn't even exist?

The alternative to our bloated government isn't necessarily communism.

Because as men, if we moved to Austrailia, we would be spending all of our time at the beach watching women and we would all go broke.

I couldn't think of a better way to end my career.

crunch your numbers...i'd bet you are losing money on every call under an hour billible....this is assuming you pay above minimum wage, have insurance and pay benefits....

Hi
How many here hire other trades to perform work in their homes such as plumbers carpenters and HVAC work? Surely some Electricians perform other than electrical work around the house making them a DIY in those areas.

I really do have to scratch my head when I hear about electricians charging less than 50 bucks an hour. Even with minimal overhead and a one man show, what you have leftover is pretty much just a wage. Why would a man want all the headaches of working for himself to basically have a "job"? When you're only netting out 20-30 bucks (or less!), that's all you have is a job. You're not running a business.

Woah! Come on down to Texas and you will see the large 100 man shops charging $50 - $65 for a JW. And the one man shows - some will work for $40 per hour. A residential crew wiring a 40 home subdividion? One or two JW "leadmen" making $18 to $20 bucks an hour / no benefits and a whole gangload of $9 - $11 per hour helpers and many of them not even legally able to work in the US of A.
