The electronic version of the 2005 NEC is copy and read protected, you can not install it to your hard drive as in the past. When Mike Holt finially got the electronic version he was not pleased as his laptop does not have a CD Rom drive, so he could not use. Using it from the CD drive is slow as it has to spin up to read.
Mike has discontinued selling the electronic version, until the NFPA addresses this issue.
However Mike has found that the Paragon CD Rom emulator V 3, will create a virtual CD on your hard drive, and allow the electronic version to be read from the hard drive. This progam is $29.95 as a download, find it at www.paragon.ag (Mike suggested I post this on the forum).
Also the NEC search engine is different this version....
