I realize this isn't an NEC issue but was wondering if help can be given on this issue.

hi sir..i want to ask about something in american national safety code for elevator..i would be grateful if you will have the answer ..we have a project of government and want to design the capacity for the elevator room ..my question is there any rule or criteria for calculation the capacity of elevator room in ANSI 17(AMERICAN NATIONAL SAFETY CODE FOR ELEVATOR) WE WANT A RULE OR CRITERIA FOR THIS CALCULATION ....i wait your reply

Most elevators I have been in have a person capacity limit on them, but I believe this is based upon the weight of an average person, what this is I have no idea?
