Elevator Feeders

Hi,
I'm looking to learn more about elevators and cannot seem to find what a feeder is. What is a elevator feeder that will be used in high rise elevators?

The NEC defines a feeder as:
Feeder. All circuit conductors between the service equipment, the source of a separately derived system, or other power supply source and the final branch-circuit overcurrent device.
For most elevator installations this would be the wring from an electrical distribution panel to the disconnecting means serving the elevator equipment.
