Hi,
we have a project located in Seattle. We are planning to feed the elevator motor from a 480V panel "LPH-ELEV". This panel is also feeding the step down transformer "TF-ELEV-30kVA" which in turn feeds the Panel "LP-ELEV". We are planning to locate the LPH-ELEV, TF-ELEV, LP-ELEV inside the elevator machine room. Is this acceptable by code? Are we violating any code provisions? The Elevator machine room layout snap shot is attached as well. Any help on this is much appreciated.

Your transformer looks it's awkwardly placed and blocking a clear exit out of the room and this room also has wasted space. Why not swap the high voltage panel and transformer locations. This clears the door. Also LP-ELEV will be closer to the transformer secondary. Where will the elevator control panel be going?
