Hi, I'm a long time lurker who usually finds the answer to his questions with a quick search, but this one caused me to register and post a first time:

We've got a hydro elevator modernization coming up soon and we're hoping to engineer a cost effective solution to the new controller requirements. The current disco is a shunt trip Sentron style breaker in a very roomy can. The motor will remain, and the sizing is correct to reuse the disconnect, but the new controller has battery backup letdown that requires auxiliary contacts.

Is there an already engineered solution that's less than 3 boat payments? Because that's what the Bussman elevator switch is going for at my supplier.

You would likely be able to add an Aux Switch or Alarm Switch to your existing Sentron breaker to inhibit the battery lowering.
