NEC 2017 - I'm working on a project where there is a split system installed in the elevator machine room (renovation). The split system requires a small 1/30th HP condensate pump that plugs in. There are separate circuits shown each for lighting and the GFCI wall receptacles. The receptacle for the condensate pump was connected to the circuit for the maintenance receptacle for the outdoor unit.
A reviewer is telling me that the receptacle for the condensate pump requires a separate circuit because of 620.25. When I read 620.25(A) I read "additional" and not "separate."
Thoughts on this?
Is the pump considered utilization equipment? If so, is overcurrent protection required in the EMR? Do I need a separate circuit for it?
Thanks in advance!
