emergency and exit lighting in coolers and freezers

Is exit and emergency lighting required in walk in coolers and freezers. These are unoccupied spaces, non public, slightly over the 1000sq ft so they do have two exit doors. backstock for grocery store

I've never seen it spec' to have them installed in coolers.
Next question might be, is there such a thing listed to be used in these refer/freezers anyway?

I'm going to have to look next time I'm in a refrigerated warehouse. Then again what do you install in unheated parking garages?

Only problem I could think of is decreased run time caused by a cold battery. Never checked the specs for operating temperature.
