Emergency disconnect/ feeder disconnect

A building (garage apartment) approx 150’ to 130’ away from the service disconnect which feeds it, does it still require the external outside disconnect since it’s over 50’ away?

I know the code states within sight. But I thought I also read the definition of within sight is 50’.

You would need to specific which codee applies. The 2020 only required it in a "readily accessible outdoor location"
 
Are you under the 2020 NEC or the 2023 NEC?

The 2023 NEC added 225.41, which requires a feeder supplying a one or two family dwelling (units, but that word is in error and should be deleted) to have an emergency disconnect at a "readily accessible outdoor location on or within sight of the dwelling unit." And indeed "within sight" needs to be within 50', per 110.29. The 2023 NEC also has a "within sight" requirement in 230.85 for one or two family dwellings supplied by a service.

But the 2020 NEC does not have 225.41, so the requirement for emergency disconnects only applies to dwellings supplied by a service. Also, as electrofelon commented, 2020 NEC 230.85 does not have a "within sight" requirement.

So my current set up would be compliant
since I’m based on the 2020NEC

Service disconnect/emergency disconnect approx 150’ away from dwelling and going underground than stubbing up to an LB and directly into the back of a main disconnect panel.
