I have a 2007 Emergency exit light with 2 T-5 type 6V 5.4W lights. It is equipped with a ASH-4115D-8 transformer. The battery is shot and I don't need the exit sign LED strip. I'm wondering :? if I can use the twin lights on my workbench by way of 120V 60Hz (leads into the transformer) and then directly connect the 6V lights to the leads coming out of the transformer (bypassing circuit board). The leads coming out of transformer are 2 yellow & 1 blue. The lights each have 1 yellow and 1 purple wire. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.
