Does any one make or have you seen a surface light like a two bulb dome fixture that has battery backup? The situation is a condo with 5 or 6 three floor stairwells with a standard ceiling fixture at each landing. The super tells me all these stairwell lights were on a generator and turned on with a power failure. The generator died and they need emergency lighting. Since these lights are on 24/7 I told him I could tap off each fixture and install an emergency light at each location. Since then I was thinking if someone made a light that looked more like a regular decorative fixture and was also an emergency light I could just change the fixtures and it would look much nicer. The only thing I have done is a florescent with an emergency ballast. The lighting guru at the supply house never got back to me so I am assuming she didn't find anything.
