Exist signs, can these signs be put on a receptacle circuit? And same for emergency lighting same . Part 5 700.5.25 says no appliance, and no lamps.

They need to be on a dedicated circuit with no other circuits in the conduit, with a handle lock on the breaker.

I am assuming your receptacle and lighting circuits are separate circuits and you are using an inverter or integral batteries for your exit signs and emergency egress lighting.

If you put your emergency egress lighting on a receptacle circuit and the normal lighting circuit breaker trips, how will your emergency egress lighting know it needs to turn on. If your receptacle circuit trips when the building is unoccupied and drains batteries for the emergency egress lighting, how would the occupants know they didn't have any emergency egress lighting available when they show up the next morning?

There's nothing in the NEC code that says it can't be on the receptacle circuit. 700 is for emergency systems, which is defined in 700.2. Does your installation fall within article 700?

Presuming that it does not, if its an exit sign with emergency lighting also, it would need to be on the same circuit as the interior lighting of the space to meet the requirements of NFPA 101 7.9.2.1.; that is if the sign is in an area that requires it.
