emergency shelter generator runtime

I'm working on a project where they are looking at making a school an emergency shelter, just wondering if anyone has any information on how long the generator should run for this?

2 hours of full demand operation of the system minimum per 700.12(B)(2).

Many voluntarily go past that to 1-2 days.

The guidelines for the emergency services when planning for a major disaster is that you have to be self sufficient for the first 72 hours.

Don has a point, although I didn't think a school would be a designated critical operations area per Article 708, but I guess it is worth asking.
