I don't look down on you because you don't. I look down on you because either you won't or can't.

I couldn't because of the price builders would pay. Let's not misunderstand that I didn't want to pay my employees more, because I did (want to pay them more). I offered more than some and less than others but what I felt my company as a whole could absorb. There were many companies back then as well as some now that don't offer anything but hourly pay and what I offered. I felt that I was fair to my employees in regards to their pay and what I offered them. I don't think they would have worked for me if I wasn't.
