EMT connection to chain hung track light

I am doing a plan review where a detail shows a piece of EMT coming out a cover plate of a 4 X 4 box going through a acoustical ceiling and connecting to a chain hung piece of track lighting. I don't like this because it seems to me the connection to the box cover and track lighting would not stay tight, because there is no way to keep the fixture from moving. Any help with a code section to reference would be appreciated. Thanks, Noel
 
This certainly isn't the best desing pratice, but if the EMT was secured and supported properly then I am not sure there is a code section that prohibits this installation.

That's the problem there is no way to secure or strap the conduit, the connectors at the box cover and the track look to be the only place that the conduit is secured. If the light moves it seems to me eventually the connectors lock nuts will loosen up.

If there is no way to secure or support the EMT then it is a violation of 358.30(A) IMO.

I have used threaded rod to hang trac from, this gives you a supporting option for the conduit. Here in California we have to design with earthquakes in mind that pretty much means a rigid support of some type.
