Does this make sense? Is EMT hot dip galv? I know Rigid galv steel conduit is obviously galvanized but I thought EMT was not hot dip galvanized.

I don't think any conduit is actually hot dipped...that process leaves a rough surface not suitable for pulling wire.

As I recall.
Hot dipped galvanized after fabrication - galvanizing is applied after the product is manufactured, leaving a rough finish, this process can distort thin metal

Hot galvanized mill finish - galvanizing is applied while the metal is still hot and before it enters the final rolling mill, the finish is smooth, does not affect thin metal but the edges and seams are not finished.

Cold galvanizing - galvanizing is applied to the finished product at room temperature, finish may be rough, edges and seams are covered.

The small amount of EMT that I've used is galvanized, but I don't know if it is 'hot dip galvanized'.

Allied says that their EMT is 'hot galvanized': https://www.alliedeg.us/emt/e-z-pull-emt/

The in-line hot galvanizing mentioned is part of a continuous process that is done immediately after the tubing is formed and seam welded. This type of hot galvanizing is only on the outside of the tubing, and its thickness is apparently around 1/3 of that from hot-diipped batch processed galvanizing. The inside of the EMT is coated with a zinc rich paint and additional coatings.

Some EMT is electro-galvanized (electoplated).
