EMT strap exceptions

For installing EMT in bar joists that are 6' apart, do I need to strap it on every joist or can I do every other joist?

Exception 1 says says the distance can be increased 5', does this mean the 10' can be increased to 15 as well?

Or is there some other exception?

Pretty sure that's just for after termination points. It specifically mentions the 3 ft distance in that exception
