Charlie earlier indicated a "Nut and Threaded" connector. (Compression).
Are Set Screw Connectors not acceptable ?

Ive seen several specifications that allowed compression fittings only. Even if it were indoors. And was curious if there was some issue with set screw connectors not establishing a sufficient ground path that I wasnt aware of.

Both types are fine and IMO set screw is best.

emt connectors come apart all the time. why would you not run a ground wire?

The product more than meets the effective ground fault path requirment as required in 250.4(A)(3).Failure to tighten the connectors is a workmanship issue, not a product issue.

Having said the offical CMP position, I agree with you.

Don't set-screw connectors have a nut and threads on the end of the connector?

Charlie didn't say anything about a compression fitting.

I've never used an Emt Connector that didnt have a nut and threads on the end of it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thats what lead me to think he was talking about a compression connector.
