Can one install an exit light fixture on an EMT stem that is supported from a metal 4 inch round box, using an EMT set screw connector into the box as the sole means of support?

May I take it that compression fittings would not make much of a difference to you?Pierre C Belarge said:Typically we will see the EMT raceway eventually come loose and fall out of the fitting. I saw this installation on a job today and wanted to discuss it here. I have also seen in the past other lighting fixtures installed with EMT setscrew fittings as well.
