I have a storage tank that contains a Class 1, Group C gas and a Class 1 Group D liquid. The tank volume is moderate and the tank pressure is small. Tank is located indoors and above grade.
This tank is encapsulated with fiberglass panels from top to bottom and sealed with only a flange being exposed. With the tank being encapsulated, can the hazardous area be reduced to only the flange leak point? Or will I need to classify the area around the whole tank?
