I have a customer with a 1957 home that is wired with the cloth sheathed NM. He is going to have a non polyurethane, non corrosive inject able foam insulation called "Homesulate" installed in the exterior walls. Does anyone know if encapsulating the old NM or or even new NM-B will adversely effect the conductors or ampacity rating.

I've seen several houses here that added it. Not sure how much it affects ampacity. I would think it would not affect a properly loaded circuit but IDK.
