I have a customer with a 1957 home that is wired with the cloth sheathed NM. He is going to have a non polyurethane, non corrosive inject able foam insulation called "Homesulate" installed in the exterior walls. Does anyone know if encapsulating the old NM or or even new NM-B will adversely effect the conductors or ampacity rating.

It's done all the time but I doubt any studies have been done on this, esp long term.
