Power and energy are two different things.
Power is a rate of doing work.
Energy is power times time.

Well, the energy will accumulate over time whereas the power is independent of the time, that is if I understand you correctly. I am not used to the word 'signal' being used if modulation is neither desired nor employed.

For Energy signal:

Power of the energy signal is zero over infinite of time


I think the best solution is

That's not very general. It makes it look like the Power is a constant. That would be similar to asking, "Here is the number of KWH last month. What was the peak demand?" And, of course, you don't know.

I would tend to use an integral

E = ∫ Pd(t)
where P is the function P(t)

maybe should make that;
(delta)E = ∫ Pd(t)
