Is it normal to use ENT (blue smurf?) boxes with PVC conduit? I am assuming since both are non-metallic, they meet the NEC. This is my first residential use of PVC and I want to make sure this is normal.

Thanks,
Les

Only if they are identified for use with each other and approved by the AHJ in your area. It would not be allowed in the area in which I normally work.

Hhhm, then was is used for terminating PVC to a switch/receptacle box? Are the steel-type utility box acceptable for use with PVC? (Assuming your will use a terminal adapter with locknut?

I talked with the local AHJ here in SC, and he commented that the blue boxes with knock-outs were an acceptable for termination (or connection, I should say) of PVC in residential.
