EPO Testing Requirements

Does anyone know if the NEC (or any other code) specifies how often an EPO test should be performed. A client has asked for a recommendation on how often the power must be shut down in order to test the shunt trip breakers. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it.

It seems like last shunt trip breaker I installed had test schedules in the box. These you would stick on the panel.

I know of no data center environment that has ever tested the shunt trip capabilities of the EPO system, except during initial commissioning, as they hope it will never work.
Equipment first, people second.
No national code requirement for testing.

If its a shunt trip EPO then the EPO is there for what I'm going to call "convenience" reasons, or to satisfy a checklist. An emergency stop, on the other hand, is a totally different kettle of fish...
