I have 2 exhaust fans that run on 480V "Y" config. When pulling in wires to run these fans, I pulled in 1 ground wire to a junction and tied both fan ground wires into it. Is this incorrect? I was referring to Article 250.30(A)(3)(b) and according to this it is. However, in Article 250.30(A)(6) is looks as though it is permitted. Please help me understand this. My boss, who is NOT a journeyman or contractor (how this happened I don't know:happysad:), says I need to run another ground wire, but I've never done that before.

2 exhaust fans seem like branch circuits, if so then you only need 1 EGC for both circuits.

250.122(C) Multiple Circuits. Where a single equipment grounding
conductor is run with multiple circuits in the same
raceway, cable, or cable tray, it shall be sized for the largest
overcurrent device protecting conductors in the raceway,
cable, or cable tray. Equipment grounding conductors installed
in cable trays shall meet the minimum requirements
of 392.10(B)(1)(c).
